Xiaomi has finally introduced its second Android One smartphone, the Mi A2, in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 16,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, while the price of 6GB RAM variant has not been disclosed. The phone will be exclusively available on Amazon starting from Aug 9 at 12noon.
The successor of Xiaomi Mi A1 comes loaded with a metal design and it employs the 18:9 tall display. The phone comes with Android One branding, meaning that it will get updates frequently as compared to other Xiaomi smartphones, which are not that frequently updated.

Jumping straight to the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Chipset along with Adreno 512 GPU, which is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 625 chipset present in the Mi A1. The Mi A2 is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Oddly, Xiaomi has decided to skip the memory slot in this smartphone, so you get no expandable storage option.

For optics, the phone equips a dual-camera setup at the back, which comes with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor with Sony IMX486 sensor, f/1.75 Aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/1.75 aperture and 1.0-micron pixel size. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter with 1.0-micron pixel size, f/2.2 aperture.

The phone is backed by a 3010mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 Fast charging support. The runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it features pure Android experience. On the connectivity front, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11ac, GPS and USB Type-C port. The device measures 158.70 x 7.30 x 75.40mm and weighs 168 grams.
