Seems like Xiaomi Mi A1 will receive Android Pie update soon as the handset has been spotted on Geekbench Benchmarking website with the latest Android version. The Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched last year in September and it still runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The GeekBench listing implies that the company is perhaps testing the latest software and may release the same for the devices soon. The listing was initially reported by GizmoChina. Currently, Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 is only available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.
In the listing, Xiaomi Mi A1 scored 932 in the single-core test while in multi-core test it scored 4470 points. Since the Mi A1 is now shown with Android Pie in the listing, we would expect the device to get Pie update soon. The Android Pie update will bring features like new fullscreen gestures, optimized system performance, Adaptive Battery, and more.
To recall, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor along with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The phone has dual rear cameras of which comes with a combination of 12-megapixel sensors. The device runs on a 3,080mAh battery with USB Type-C port. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back panel and an IR blaster on the top of the device.
