Xiaomi is working on Xiaomi Mi 8 successor, dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 9 which has already been leaked multiple times. The phone has now surfaced in a render and it shows the phone from almost all angles.
As per the render, the Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone will feature a waterdrop notch screen with a bezel-less display. All the four sides have very thin bezels. The chin of the phone is also extremely thin. The render does not show a fingerprint sensor either on the front or on the back, which means that the smartphone could have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The render shows the Xiaomi Mi 9 in Blue colour. The back of the phone seems to be featuring a glass body. It shows the triple rear camera setup along with an LED flash in the top-left corner. The third camera sits separately on the back panel, right below the two cameras.
The upcoming smartphone could be two devices: M1902F1T/A and MI1902F2A with later are likely to be the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. As per reports, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is likely to feature a 6.0-inch display and powered by a Snapdragon 7150 SoC, which is the successor to the SD 710.
It is said that Xiaomi will be launching Mi 9 in late February or early March and phone will go on sale in March. The base variant of the Xiaomi Mi 9 featuring 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage is said to be priced at 2999 Yuan which is approx. Rs 30,480.
As per an earlier report, the Xiaomi Mi 9 will feature a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED Display with 19:9 aspect ratio an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset, with the X24 LTE modem. It will start with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Xiaomi Mi 9 will be backed up by a 3,500mAh battery with 32W Fast charging support. However, the phone will lack support for wireless charging.
For the camera, Xiaomi Mi 9 will sport a triple rear camera setup – with one 48-megapixel Sony ImX586 sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a 3D TOF sensor as well. For the front, the smartphone will feature a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor. The Xiaomi Mi 9’s dimensions are said to be 155 x 75 x 7.6 mm. It will run Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top.
