Xiaomi seems to be working on the successor of its Mi 8 smartphone which is dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 9. Well-known tipster and designer Benjamin Geskin has shared a render of the next year’s company’s flagship phone from the along with some of its expected specifications.
The render shows that Xiaomi Mi 9 will be sporting a smaller notch with glass back and a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. An in-display fingerprint scanner can also be seen in the render. It is said that the phone will be fueled by the upcoming Snapdragon 8150 chipset. The phone might have 6GB, 8GB and 10GB of RAM.

The phone will have a vertical triple camera setup with LED flash between the first two camera sensors. It may feature 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 as the primary sensor of the triple camera unit. Rumours have revealed that Mi 9 will have a triple camera system with a combination of 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 16-megapixel triple camera system.
Xiaomi Mi 9 might be featuring a 3,700mAh battery with Quick Charge 5.0 support and wireless charging feature. Lastly, the tipster claims that the Mi 9 may go official as a 5G smartphone. The tipster has however not revealed anything about the pricing of the smartphone.
