Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has recently announced that Xiaomi will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at World Internet Conference in Wuzen, China. He also confirmed that upcoming Xiaomi phones will feature AI support and now it is speculated that probably the first Xiaomi device to come with AI features might be the Xiaomi Mi7 that is rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset, as per a report.
The report reveals that the AI-assisted Snapdragon 845 chipset will power the dual rear cameras of Mi 7 for photography just like Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro that are powered by AI-assisted Kirin 970 chipset.
Xiaomi had already entered the AI market by launching its first device with Mi AI speakers in July this year. However, he did not announce the exact launch time frame of the Mi 7 smartphone.
Just yesterday, some renders and features of the Mi 7 were leaked which revealed that Xiaomi Mi 7 will feature a glass body and a stainless steel frame.
It is expected that Xiaomi Mi 7 might be launched in March and will be featuring wireless charging. The phone will feature a 5.8 inches full-screen display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is expected that the device feature AMOLED Display with a Resolution of 2560×1440 pixels with the Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
On the inside, the Mi 7 will be powered by Snapdragon 845 Processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The Mi 7 also will be packed with a 3950mAh battery and support Dual-SIM dual-standby.
For the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is said to feature dual rear cameras with a combination of 19MP + 19MP sensor with an Aperture of f1.7 and 4x optical zoom. For the front, there will be a 16-megapixel sensor. The smartphone is also rumoured to support fast charging. The Xiaomi Mi 7 is said to come in two variants – 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.
As far as the leaked pricing is concerned, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to cost around 2,999 Yuan for the base 6GB variant which is approximately Rs 29,369.
