With such a high score, it is expected that the upcoming device could be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor.
Earlier, an industry insider from China had revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be the first Chinese smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC. Also, as per a post by an analyst Kevin Wang Diary on Chinese micro-blogging website, Weibo, also claims that the Xiaomi Mi 6 might come with Snapdragon 835. Kevin Wang Diary further revealed that the available supply for the Snapdragon 835 is although small but it would not hamper the launch date of Xioami Mi 6 as Xiaomi has already started receiving shipments of the Snapdragon 835 SoC.
Later, another Chinese tipster revealed on Weibo, that the Xiaomi Mi 6 might be the first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 835 SoC. He further added that Mi 6 will most probably look like a shrunk down version of the Mi Note 2 in terms of the design. Apart from that, the tipster also revealed that the device will come in black, white, and blue colour options and will have 128GB and 256GB internal storage variants.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 was earlier reported to be unveiled in April. But then multiple reports suggested that the smartphone might be announced on February 6. Xiaomi is now expected to unveil the Xiaomi Mi 6 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
As per earlier reports, Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to come with 6GB RAM and feature USB Type C support. It will reportedly run on Android 7.0 or 7.1 Nougat update with MIUI 9 OS on top of it. For the photography, Xiaomi Mi 6 is touted to come with dual camera setup and support Xiaomi Fast charge, claims rumours. This in contrary to previous leaked renders of the device which interestingly revealed a single camera setup which is why we advise our readers to take this information with a pinch of salt as it is not yet confirmed by the company yet.
