Xiaomi has announced to launch of aspecial edition of Mi 5X smartphone. Dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition, the device comes in redcolour variant and comes with a price tag of 1,499 yuan (Rs 14,285).
The Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition is out for pre-booking on both the online and offline platforms in China, which will commence from November 1. Currently, the device is available in Gold, Black and Rose Gold, but with the launch of special edition, it will come in four colour options. According to the launch poster in China,The Mi 5X features a bright Red colour on the back panel, while the front sports a black colour.

To recall, the major highlight of the Xiaomi Mi 5X is the dual-camera setup at the rear panel, which comes with 12-megapixel sensors. The primary camera comes with a Wide-Angle lens with 1.25-micron pixel size and f/2.2 aperture, while the other is a telephoto lens with 1-micron pixel sensor and f/2.6 aperture. For the front, it features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Xiaomi Mi 5X features a full metal body design with rounded edges and a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) curved glass display with brightness up to 450 nits and is powered by 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU coupled with 4GB RAM. The hybrid dual SIM based smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MIUI 9 operating system and has a 3080 mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and USB type C. The device measures 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 165 grams. The Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, infrared, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
