Xiaomi has scheduled an event in China on Augut 25 i.e tomorrow where it is expected to launch Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 smartphones. Xiaomi in partnership with China Mobile has released teaser which indicates the launch of smartphones during tomorrow’s event. The teaser shows Chinese actress Liu Shishi holding an all-metal device and actor Wu Xiubo with a smartphone. The caption in the teaser reads “Full metal ageâ€. Thus these phones are now expected to come with metal unibody.
The teaser has also confirmed a previous leak regarding the launch date of Xiaomi Redmi 4. As per earlier leaks, Redmi 4 is expected to cost 699 Yuan or approximately Rs 7,017 while Redmi Note 4 is expected to cost 899 Yuan or approximately Rs 9,070.
Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 has been earlier spotted on Chinese certification site TENAA with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MIUI 8 UI, 5 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Chipset clocked at 2GHz, Adreno 506 GPU, micro and SD card slot. There are two versions of the phone – one with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and another with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. As per TENAA listing, the Redmi 4 measures 141.3×69.6×8.9mm and weighs 160 grams.
The smartphone is expected have a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. Similar to the Redmi 3S/Prime, the Redmi 4 is likely to come with massive 4000 mAh battery, a finger print scanner and an Infrared sensor. For connectivity, it will have 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS.
As per rumours, the Redmi Note 4 is expected to have a 5.5-inch 1080p display powered by the MediaTek Helio X20 deca core 2GHz processor. It will come in two variants with 2GB and 3GB of RAM with 16GB and 32 GB internal storage respectively. It is reported to come with a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front facing camera, a 4000 mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MIUI 8 user interface.
