Xioami had launched Mi 5S along with Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus in September. The Xiaomi Mi 5S comes in two variants – one with 3GB RAM with 64GB Internal Memory and another with 4GB RAM with 128GB internal memory. Now Xiaomi has launched a Special Edition of Mi 5S which features 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage in China. Rest of the specs are same as of the earlier Mi 5S.
The new Xiaomi Mi 5S Special Edition is priced at 1899 Yuan (approximately Rs 18,687). While the earlier Xiaomi Mi 5S 3GB variant is priced at 1999 Yuan (approximately Rs 19,932) and the Xiaomi Mi 5S 4GB variant is priced at 2299 Yuan (approximately Rs 22,925).
Xiaomi Mi 5S features a 5.15-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with brightness up to 600 nits and is powered by 2.15 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor and Adreno 530 GPU coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM. The dual SIM based smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8 operating system and has a 3200 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 technology. It features a ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is placed below the phone’s display. The sensor recognizes fingerprints in a fraction of a second.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S boasts a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX378 1/2.3-inch sensor, PDAF and a 4-megapixel front facing camera with 2um pixels, f/2.0 aperture, 80-degree Wide-Angle lens, 1080p video recording. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS, NFC and USB type C. The device measures 145.6 x 70.3 x 8.25 mm and weighs 145 grams.
