Xiaomi introduces second-generation Mi Notebook Pro with 8th gen Intel Core i5 CPU

he Mi Notebook Pro sports a 15.6-inch Full HD display with 72 per cent NTSC colour gamut along with 300 nits brightness and 170-degree viewing angle, which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The new variant is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor along with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU with 2GB DDR5 Video RAM.

Xiaomi has announced the launch of its second-generation Mi Notebook Pro in China. The laptop is priced CNY 5,599 and it will go on sale in Mainland China starting from June 1, 2018. The Mi Notebook Pro is available in Dary Gray colour option.

The device comes with a magnesium alloy and the brand has added Harman Infinity speakers along with Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience. On the design front, the second generation model looks similar to Apple MacBook lineup.

In terms of specifications, the Mi Notebook Pro sports a 15.6-inch Full display with 72 per cent NTSC colour gamut along with 300 nits brightness and 170-degree viewing angle, which is protected with 3. The new variant is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor. For graphics, the laptop features NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2GB DDR5 Video RAM.

The device is backed by 8GB of DDR4 and 256GB of PCIe SSD storage. It features a full-size keyboard, which is backlit in nature and the company says that the keyboard area is 19 per cent larger than the Apple MacBook Pro. It also features afingerprint sensor, which is compatible with Windows Hello. On the connectivity front, the device support two USB Type-C ports, HDMI port, one USB Type-A ports, 3-in-1 SD card slot, WiFi 802.11 ac, and 3.5mm jack. The laptop measures 360.7 x 243.6 x 15.9 mm and weighs 1.95kg.
