Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi 3S Plus via different offline outlets across the country for Rs 9,499. With this launch, Redmi 3S Plus becomes the first smartphone from Xiaomi to sell via offline stores. The smartphone went on sale last Saturday.
Regarding the specifications, the Redmi 3S Plus comes with a 5 inch 720p display with a metallic uni-body design and fingerprint scanner at the back. Inside, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 1.4Ghz Chipset and 2GB RAM. For photography, there is 13 megapixel rear facing camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. There is 32GB internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card. To power the entire device, there is a massive 4100 mAh battery. The handset has a hybrid SIM Slot supporting 2G/3G/LTE and VoLTE. One may note that Redmi 3S Plus is essentially identical to Redmi 3S Prime except the 2GB RAM.
Xiaomi’s this attempt to introduce an offline only smartphone indicates company’s intention to expand its market. It seems like Xiaomi, has understood that in a country like India there are a lot of people who still doesn’t have access to internet or in some cases are not familiar with the same and going offline is teh best streategy to tag them.
