Xiaomi today announced Mi Robot Vacuum, a new Mi Ecosystem product developed by a company called Rockrobo.
As per the company, the Mi Robot Vacuum is a highly intelligent robot with an in-house Lazer Distance Sensor (LDS) technology which is able to scan its surrounding 360 degrees 1800 times per second. Xiaomi has also installed SLAM which stands for Simultaneous Localization and Mapping algorithm which enables the Robot to map out the whole house and calculate the best cleaning path. To ensure high level of efficiency and intelligence Xiaomi has implemented a total of 12 Sensors in the machine.
For real-time mapping, there are three dedicated processors in Xiaomi’s Mi Robot Vacuum. It also sports a powerful Nidec brushless DC motor with up tp 1800Pa air pressure ensuring not only better cleaning but also delivers ultra-quiet airflow. The main brush can be adjusted at different heights for thorough dirt picking on uneven surfaces. Xiaomi also claims that the device ensures effective side brushing to clean near walls without any trouble. The whole Vacuum Robot is backed by a 5200mAh battery which Xiaomi claims can offer up to 2.5 hours of cleaning.
Like any other Mi Ecosystem product, Mi Robot Vacuum is also controlled by Mi Home app. The App helps to switch on/off the device and also set regular cleaning schedules.
