LeEco has announced the successor of Le Max, which is named as Le Max Pro, at the Mobile World Congress. Surprisingly, the Le Max Pro is priced at approximately Rs 21,000 for the international markets which is far less than the Le Max that is currently retailing in India at Rs 32,999. Despite the lower price tag, the Le Max Pro has better features than its predecessor.
The Le Max Pro is the first smartphone to have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, ultrasonic Sense ID fingerprint scanner, and 802.11ad (tri Band WiFi) connectivity. Developed by Qualcomm, the ultrasonic Sense ID fingerprint scanner actually relies on ultrasonic waves that bounces off the finger which are redirected to the sensor. Since it uses sound and not optical reading, it is said to be more secure. As per Qualcomm, stolen two-dimensional fingerprints, like an imprint that would trick an optical sensor, can’t be used with devices having ultrasonic Sense ID fingerprint scanner.
Besides, the Le Max Pro offers a 21 Megapixel rear camera that comes with Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and dual ISP support. Its 4 megapixel front camera has 81.6-degree wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture. Besides, the Le Max Pro offers 4 GB RAM,
