WhatsApp, one of the world’s most widely used instant Messaging apps, is known for introducing new features and updates to enhance user experience. Sometime back, the company added a new feature for Android and iOS devices that allows users to send photos in either “Best Quality” or compressed format, depending on their preference. However, this feature is yet to be made available for desktop users.
According to a report from Wabetainfo, the new feature is still in the beta phase and is expected to be released for desktop users soon. The report suggests that the company will soon release the development as an update. This means that desktop users can also enjoy the option to choose between photo quality settings when sending photos on WhatsApp.
How to send high-resolution images on WhatsApp?
Users need to follow a few simple steps to send a high-resolution image on WhatsApp on a smartphone. Firstly, users have to open WhatsApp and navigate to the setting option from the hamburger icon. From there, users can select “Storage and Data” and then “Media Upload Quality.” Once they have selected the “Media Upload Quality” option, users can choose from “Auto,” “Best Quality,” or “Data Saver” depending on their preference.
Selecting between “Best Quality” and “Data Saver” is handy for users with limited data or storage space on their devices. By choosing the “Data Saver” option, users can ensure that their photos are compressed and use less data and storage space. On the other hand, by selecting “Best Quality,” users can send high-resolution images that are ideal for sharing with friends and family.
