WhatsApp may soon have the voice calling support, if a report of WPCentral is to beleived. As per the website, the WhatsApp translation page showed new strings – Hang up, Incoming call, Outgoing call – clearly indicating the upcoming voice calling functionality.
It is to be noted that WhatsApp’s chief executive officer Jan Koum, at the Mobile World Congress event earlier this year, promised voice call support on WhatsApp for all platforms including Android, iOS, Windows Phone and even BlackBerry.
WhatsApp already offers voice Messaging and support for file sharing. However, voice calling is a key area where it falls behind its competitors as other such services like Skype, Viber, and Line.
