WhatsApp launches Picture-in-Picture mode with YouTube integration for iPhone users

The feature will allow users to watch a YouTube video in the chat itself.

WhatsApp, a Facebook-ownedinstant application has started rolling out the YouTube integrated picture-in-picture mode for iPhone customers. The feature will allow users to watch a YouTube video in the chat itself.

The feature was initiallyannouncedlast year in November, which is now available with the latest update v2.18.11 on Apple App Store. Earlier, to watch a shared YouTube link one hasto pause their WhatsApp conversation andusers were directed to the YouTube application. But now the video will appear in a small pop up window in the chat itself.

This will allow iPhone users to easily exchange messages while watching the video and can even move around the pop-up window within the app to multitask. For now, the feature is only available for devices, but it is expected to soon roll out for as well.
