Whatsapp, the cross platform messenger application, will soon be launched for the new BlackBerry 10 operating system based devices.
“In the next few weeks, Whatsapp will be made available for BlackBerry 10 platform,” said Suni Dutt, managing director, BlackBerry.
He also added, “We want our customers to enjoy the benefits of both the BBM as well as Whatsapp.”
Vice president of Whatsapp, Neeraj Arora has also confirmed this. In a Twitter post, Neeraj said that the Whatsapp application for BlackBerry 10 is currently under way and will be made available for devices and users globally in the month of March.
Whatsapp is a true cross platform messenger application that is available on Android, BlackBerry (OS 5,6,7), iOS and Windows. The messenger allows users to have text chats and share files amongst friends across different platforms. And alongside instant messaging, Whatsapp also allows sharing of photos, videos, audio and your location with other users.
