WhatsApp has started rolling out a new feature to its Android application. The update brings a new call waiting feature to WhatsApp Messenger.
As the name clearly suggests, the feature alerts users when they receive a WhatsApp call while talking to someone else. Earlier, whenever one calls on WhatsApp, it will be automatically declined when the receiver was another call. However, from now onwards, users will get an alert to Decline or Accept the incoming call.
However, it is important to note when you accept the call, it will automatically disconnect the first call. The feature is now available for version 2.19.352 of the stable app and 2.19.257 and 2.19.358 of the beta app. The company rolled out the same feature to iOS.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also reported to be working on Snapchat-like disappearing messages along with a new dark-mode known as Delete Messages. The latest features have been spotted on the beta version of the Android application. Starting with the disappearing messages, it will allow users to delete their messages automatically after a desired period of time.
Previously,a new security vulnerability was discovered that allows hackers to steal personal information using a specially-crafted MP4 file on WhatsApp. Once a user downloaded an MP4 file from the messaging application, hackers could execute a snooping attack. The vulnerability is discovered in both Android and iOS versions.
