While Apple unveiled its latest iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in the US, Samsung brought its latest flagship Galaxy Note 5 to India earlier this week for a starting price of Rs 53,900.
The Note 5 has a 5 inch Super AMOLED Display with superb quad HD or 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Ofcourse it is based on the latest Android Lollipop operating system and has Samsung’s Touch Wiz UI. With an octa-core Processor clocked at 2.1 GHz and 4 GB RAM, the phone also promises blazing fast performance.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 comes in 32 and 64 GB built in storage variants but neither of them have expandable storage. The smartphone offers a 16 megapixel auto focus with optical image stabilisation and a host of other features; while for selfies it has a 5 megapixel front camera. Earlier this week, Micromax’s Yu brought its cheapest smartphone – the Yu Yunique at Rs 4,999. The handset is equipped with a 4.7 inch HD IPS display. The phone runs Android Lollipop based Cyanogen 12.1 operating system. It has a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, which runs with 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 8 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card. The primary camera is an 8 megapixel camera and the front of the phone has a 2 megapixel selfie shooter. The dual-SIM Yu Yunique is a 4G phone with GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivity. The power is provided by a 2000 mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia M5 is armed with a full HD 5 inch IPS display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It runs on Android Lollipop and has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, which runs with 3 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Sony Xperia M5 stands at 16 GB to which you can add a ridiculous 2 TB of storage via a microSD card.
The highlight of Xperia M5 is undoubtedly its cameras – a 21.5 megapixel rear auto focus camera and a 13 megapixel auto focus front camera. The Micromax Canvas Juice 3 is equipped with a 5 inch HD IPS display. The phone runs on Android Lollipop. It has a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, which runs with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 8 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card. The primary camera is an 8 megapixel camera and the front of the phone has a 2 megapixel selfie shooter. Priced at Rs 7,999, the Alcatel Onetouch smart watch features a 3.09 cm (1.22) round display, along with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixel. It has an oleophobic coating for preventing the accumulation of fingerprints on the display.
On the display screen, one can access notifications like call alerts, emails, Facebook and Twitter updates and Whatsapp messages.

Samsung Galaxy J2
The new Samsung Galaxy J2 is priced at just Rs 8,940. At this point of time, the Samsung Galaxy J2 is confirmed to have a Super AMOLED screen with qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution and a 1.3 GHz quad core processor. However, nothing more is known about the phone yet, atleast officially.
Few days back though media reports claimed that the Galaxy J2 has a 4.7 inch screen, Android Lollipop operating system, 1 GB RAM, micro SD card slot, 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. The reports added that the phone measures 129 x 68.2 x 8.9 mm dimensions and weighs 122 grams. It is said to have dual SIM with dual standby feature. It is said to be available in black and white colours with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Radio, and a micro USB port.
