Sony Mobiles has formally launched a new tablet – Xperia Z2 – which is mere 6.4 mm thick and is also waterproof. The Xperia Z2, which weighs 439 grams, claimed to be the lightest tablet of the world. The Xperia Z2 tablet is expected to be launched globally next month – March.
Sony Xperia Z2 tablet features a 10.1-inch full HD TRILUMINOS touchscreen display that promises better colour production. This display packs 1920×1200 pixel resolution natively and thereby offers capability to enjoy full 1080p HD content. The display is powered by the Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. The Xperia Z2 tablet will be powered by quad-core 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 mobile Chipset paired with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB on-board storage. Sony will offer microSD card slot to expand the storage.
The tablet will be PlayStation Certified and one can enjoy playing 3D games. At the back, the tablet sports an 8 Megapixel camera while a 2 megapixel camera is in its front. Sony will offer the Xperia Z2 tablet with water-resistance capability. By default, the Xperia Z2 tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered with a 6000 mAh battery.
