Vodafone is reportedly planning to launch 4G services in Kolkata this January 25. As per a report of Economic Times, the teleco has announced the pre-booking offer on Saturday (January 16) and has “entered the final stages in bringing launching its 4G network in Kolkata on the 1800 MHz band”.
As per the report, Vodafone will offer 1 GB of free 4G data on pre-booking its 4G SIMs. One can avail the offer by prebooking Vodafone 4G SIM in between January 12 and 24 by sending a text message, Voda4G, to 199. Customers also need to have an active 3G pack by January 24. Ofcourse you need a 4G enabled handset to enjoy the services.
Vodafone recently launched its 4G services in Kochi and Mysore. While launching 4G services in Kochi, Vodafone had promised to roll out the LTE services in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata in the first phase. Now with the impending launch of 4G services in Kolkata, one can expect the operator to announce the same for the other three cities as well.
