Vodafone has reportedly rolled out a new feature that will allow its users to know when their daily FUP limit is over. The company will showcase the ‘Display Usage Alert’ to its prepaid users on unlimited prepaid packs that come with the daily data limit.
According to a report by TelecomTalk, Vodafone will start displaying a warning whenever a user completes the daily FUP limit. Users will see the warning page whenever he/she tries to open any website. Users will be redirected to a new page that shows ‘Data Usage Alert’ and will prompt USSD code to get additional data for the day.
“‘As per regulatory norms, internet service has been stopped after pack quota/validity. To use data @standard rates, SMS START to 1925 or to buy a data pack dial *444#,” this will be the message displayed to the users, as per the report.
The move will surely help the users to know when the daily FUP limit is exhausted. As of now, users need to check their respective telecom operator’s application to check the data usage. Reliance Jio is one player that sends an SMS informing a user about the data usage limit.
Meanwhile, Vodafone announced the roll-out of its 4G services in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. The 4G site has been successfully installed in the vicinity of the temple at a height of about (11,755 ft), enabling customers to experience seamless VODAFONE SuperNet 4G in and around the temple premises.
