Vodafone launches K3800 high speed 3G dongle

The K3800 3G dongle can offer up to 14.4 Mbps speeds to users.

GSM service provider, Vodafone has announced the launch of the Vodafone K3800 high speed data dongle in India. The Vodafone K3800 is able to provide upto 14.4 download speeds and is priced at Rs 1750.

This dongle does not come with any data bundle, so users will have to make use of the data card plans available to them in both prepaid as well as postpaid variants. It has been made available through Vodafone retail stores and comes in three colours – Black, Red and Dual Tone White and Red.

The Vodafone K3800 3G dongle supports all major operating systems including Window 8, Mac, Linux versions like Fedora and Ubuntu out of the box. The dongle comes with mass memory function that doubles it up as a portable data storage device. The dongle provides micro card support with expandable memory of up to 32 GB.

Commenting on the new launch, Vivek Mathur, chief commercial officer, Vodafone India said, “At Vodafone, we always seek to provide the best products and services at great value for money, to our customers. The launch of Vodafone K3800 3G dongle is well timed to meet the demand for high speed services. High speed of up to 14.4 Mbps, affordable price and live webchat for support, will make high speed mobile internet accessible to a wider audience base.”

One of the unique features of the K3800 3G dongle is an interactive startup page that offers easy access to email and social updates as well direct access to live web chat support for the users. The dongle’s user interface is customizable and also allows users to send and receive based messages on their Vodafone number right through their computer.
