Vodafone has launched a new 3G Android phone in India at an attractive price of Rs 4,995. The new Vodafone Smart is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 processor and Android 2.2.1 operating system.
Vodafone Smart comes with a 2.8 inch capacitive touch display, a 2 megapixel camera that can record video, up to 32 GB expandable memory (a 2 GB card comes free with the phone), stereo FM and an MP3, MP4 and 3GP player.
For connectivity it has Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi tethering, and 3G HSDPA. Other features include push mail, a 3.5 mm jack, accelerometer, and proximity and compass sensors.
Vodafone provides two years of warranty on the new handset. “Vodafone subscribers will also enjoy a special introductory limited period offer of Double Data Benefit on their 3G subscription,” said the telco in a press release.
Speaking on the launch of Vodafone Smart, Kumar Ramanathan, chief marketing officer, Vodafone India, said, “Vodafone Smart is one smartphone that is sure to delight our young audience with its stylish looks, smart features, host of exciting apps and 3G connectivity at an exciting, affordable price.
