Vivo Y91, Y91i receive a price cut in India

Vivo has slashed the price of its two budget-centric smartphones, the Vivo Y91 and Vivo Y91i, in India. The smartphones with reduced prices are available for purchase from the offline market.

Mumbai-based retailer, Mahesh Telecom revealed the price cut on both smartphones. To start with Vivo Y91, the phone was launched in India for Rs 10,990, however, the company slashed the price to Rs 8,990. Now, once again after the price cut, the Y91 retails at Rs 8,490.

Coming to the Vivo Y91i, the smartphone was launched for Rs 8,490. The company then slashed the price to Rs 7,490. So with the latest price cut, it is available for purchase for Rs 7,990.

Jumping straight to the specifications, the Vivo Y91 and Y91i feature a 6.22-inch display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. Both of them are powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via card.

Both of them runs on 9.0 Pie, which is based on FunTouch OS. Both the devices are backed by a 4030mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual Sim, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11, 5, + GLONASS, FM Radio, and a port.

For optics, the Vivo Y91 features a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The Vivo Y91i is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera. The Vivo Y91 and Y91i are loaded with an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.
