Vivo has finally taken the wrap off from its latest bezel-less smartphone, the Vivo V9. The company has launched the device in Thailand and it comes with a price tag of 10,999 Thai Bhat, which roughly translates to Rs 22,900. The device will be available for sale from March 30. Interestingly, the phone is scheduled to launch in India tomorrow.
The major highlight of the smartphone is the bezel-less display with an iPhone X-like notch. The phone boasts a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and it has 1.75mm slim bezels. The device comes loaded with a 6.3-inchFull HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core Processor clocked at 2.2GHz along Adreno 506 GPU.
The device is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. The Vivo V9 features dual rear cameras with a combination of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors along with LED flash. For the front, there will be a 24-megapixel shooter with a wide-angle lens. The rear camera features are Slow Motion, AI Face Beauty and 4K video. The front camera features are AI Face Beauty, Gender detection, AR Sticker, Face beauty video, Camera Filter, HDR. The smartphone will feature Face Unlock and there will be a fingerprint sensor as well.
The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s own FunTouch OS 4.0 running on top of it. It is backed by a 3260mAh battery with fast charging support. On the connectivity front, the Vivo V9 supports triple slot, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS, dual SIM and Micro USB 2.0. The phone is available in Pearl Black and Gold colour options. The handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 150 grams.
