Vivo V9 launched in India with 6.3-inch Full HD+ display, 24-megapixel selfie camera

The major highlight of the smartphone is the bezel-less display with an iPhone X-like notch.

Vivo has today launched its new flagship smartphone – the Vivo V9 in India for Rs 22,990. The pre-orders for the smartphone will begin at 3 PM today on Amazon and Flipkart. The Vivo V9 will also be available at offline retailers as well and will go on sale from April 2nd. The phone will come inPearl Black, Champagne Gold and Sapphire Blue colour options.

The major highlight of the smartphone is the bezel-less display with an iPhone X-like notch. The phone boasts a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and it has 1.75mm slim bezels. The device comes loaded with a 6.3-inchFull HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core clocked at 2.2GHz along Adreno 506 GPU.

The device is backed by a 4GB of and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. The Vivo V9 features dual rear cameras with a combination of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors along with LED flash. For the front, there will be a 24-megapixel shooter with a wide-angle lens. The rear camera features are Slow Motion, Face Beauty and video. The front camera features are AI Face Beauty, Gender detection, AR Sticker, Face beauty video, Camera Filter, HDR. The smartphone will feature Face Unlock and there will be a fingerprint sensor as well.

The device runs 8.1 Oreo with company’s own FunTouch OS 4.0 running on top of it. It is backed by a 3260mAh battery with fast charging support. On the connectivity front, the Vivo V9 supports triple slot, VoLTE, 4.0, WiFi, GPS, dual SIM and 2.0. The handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 150 grams.
