Vivo V5 and V5 Plus to go official tomorrow

The company has already sent out invites for the launch event which will take place tomorrow in Mumbai.

Vivo has already sent media invites for the launch event of Vivo V5 and V5 Plus which is to take place tomorrow in Mumbai. Both smartphones are said to be the successor to the famous V3 and V3 Max. However, the ‘Max’ variant is now to be replaced with V5 Plus.

Interestingly, PhoneRadar today revealed a new leak which confirms that the V5 Plus will sport a 20-megapixel selfie-camera. The full spec sheet of V5 has also been leaked, according to which, the smartphone is expected to come with 5.5 inch Full HD ( 1920 x 1080 resolution) display. The device is expected to come with a uni-body metallic design measuring 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55 mm. On the inside, it will sport an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 coupled with Adreno 510 chipset. The device will also come with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which will be expandable up to 128 GB via microSD. For the juice, the latest leak reveals it to house a 3000 mAh battery and a Hi-Fi AK4376 for improved audio performance. Connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, LTE, USB OTG and Sensors such as Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, and E-Compass are also there.
Vivo V5 and V5 Plus
Though not much have been revealed about the Plus variant, both the V5 and V5 Plus are expected to share the camera sensors and the metallic ergonomics. The camera on both V5 and V5 Plus is expected to be a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a whopping 20 megapixel front-camera.

Now coming to the price, while the V5 is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 20,000, the V5 Plus is expected to be priced at Rs 25,000.

The company launched the V3 and V3 Max back in April 2016 at a price of Rs 17,980 and Rs 23,980 respectively.
