Vivo has officially announced the launch of a new mid-range smartphone for the Indian market. Dubbed as Vivo V15 Pro, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 28,990 and it will be available on Amazon and company’s official e-store along with retail stores starting from March 06, 2019.
The major highlight of the smartphone is the pop-up selfie camera. This is the second smartphone from Vivo that sports this mechanism. The first phone was Vivo NEX. Apart from this, the phone also features triple-camera setup at the back. The phone comes with a gradient finish and the front of the device has minimal bezels around the edges. The smartphone will be available in Topaz Blue and Ruby Red colour options.
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Vivo V15 Pro is equipped with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ sAMOLED Ultra FullView display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.64 percent. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Processor and it is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
For optics, the phone employs a triple-camera setup with a combination of 48-megapixel quad Pixel sensor that gives 12 million pixels output along with an 8-megapixel super Wide-Angle lens and a 5-megapixel sensor depth sensor. For the front, the phone features a 32-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, which pops-up when you switch to selfie mode. There is a dedicated Google Assistant key on this smartphone.
The smartphone is backed by a 3700mAh battery and it also features dual-engine Fast charging support. The successor of the V11 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on the company’s FunTouch OS. It features an in-display fingerprint sensor and there is an option for face unlock as well. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, dual-SIM, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C port.
