Months after receiving a price cut which brought down its price to Rs 23,990, the Vivo V11 Pro is now getting a major update and it’s none other than Android 9 Pie.
Several users on Twitter have started sharing screenshots of the update which weighs in at 3.11GB through an OTA package. The update comes with Android 9 Pie as well as Vivo’s latest FunTouch OS. Vivo has entailed that the update brings a new UI design with an upgraded Shortcut centre which will allow users to make an action with minimal steps possible.
With the latest Android 9.0 Pie version, users will be able to use the all-new gesture-based navigation coupled with new wellness features like Dashboard, which analyses the amount of time one speed on an application. The Pie update also brings new DND mode, Wind Down mode, new gesture controls, a new pill-shaped icon for navigations, refined notifications and Quick Settings, vertical volume controls and new power menu among others.

Additionally, there’s a new Dark Mode which will work just like the Dark Theme on Samsung’s One UI-based phones. There’s also a new training ground for sound-based positioning and new settings menu in Game Box.
In terms of specifications, the Vivo V11 Pro features a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Halo FullView display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.It runs onFuntouch OS 4.5, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and it is backed by a 3400mAh battery with dual-engine Fast charging (9V 2A).
For optics, the Vivo V11 Pro is loaded with dual rear cameras with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 Aperture and a 5-megapixel depth-sensing camera with f/2.4 aperture coupled with LED flash. For the front, there is a 25-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The camera comes with AI Scene Detection and AI Portrait Framing along with AR stickers and AI Face Beauty mode.
