Vivo’s successor to its all-screen NEX smartphone that was launch earlier this year will soon make a mark. The Chinese company has started teasing the next flagship on its official website as renders of the device revealed dual screens, an in-display fingerprint scanner and three cameras at the back. The Vivo NEX 2 is expected to debut on December 11 in Shanghai.
The next generation Vivo NEX smartphone is expected to equip a dual-screen technology which has been teased with three rather eye candy GIFs. All the teasers point to two screens on either side and three cameras at the back, two of which are inscribed into a circular ring.
Several reports now claim that the phone will be Vivo’s first device with 10GB of RAM and paired with that is the 128GB internal storage. The display on the front will be notch-free like the one on the Nubia X and is due to the presence of an additional screen on the rear end. The secondary screen will make it easy for users to click selfies on primary three-camera setup.
In addition to two screen and three cameras, the phone will feature what Vivo calls a “Lunar Ring” which will be circular Band lit with RGB LED, for notifications. The third camera could be a ToF 3D camera sensor. The rest of the phone specs could include a Snapdragon 845 which will power the whole phone. An in-display fingerprint scanner can be expected on either of the two screens.
The Vivo NEX 2 or NEX Dual Screen is expected to go official on December 11 during an event in Shanghai, China.
