Vivo has today officially introduced the Vivo S1 smartphone in India, as expected. The smartphone comes with an AMOLED screen, triple cameras, a Mediatek Chipset and an in-display fingerprint scanner for a starting price of Rs 17,990. For the price, the Vivo S1 will compete with the likes of the Realme X and Redmi K20 Pro.
The starting price of Rs 17,990 applies to the base 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model of Vivo S1 which will be available starting from August 8 across online and offline channels. The phone will also be available in 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB configurations for asking price of Rs 18,990 and Rs 19,990 respectively.
The Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Display along with 1080×2340 pixels Resolution and a waterdrop-style notch design. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 SoC with ARM Mali-G52 GPU, 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The storage is expandable to up to 256GB with microSD.
For imaging, the Vivo S1 equips a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 Wide-Angle lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. It comes with 32-megapixel AI selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens on the front.
The Vivo S1 runs on Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9 and is fuelled by a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging. The device comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, weighs 179 grams and measures at 159.53 × 75.23 × 8.13mm. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Vivo S1 will be available in Skyline Blue and Diamond Black colours.
