Vivo S1 unveiled outside India, has Helio P65 SoC, 32MP selfie camera

The new Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED Always-On display that supports full HD+ (1080×2340) resolution with a waterdrop notch design

Vivo has officially introduced a new smartphone, the Vivo S1, in Indonesia. The smartphone is different from the original Vivo S1 smartphone that was launched in China in March this year. The new Vivo S1 comes with 4GB of with 128GB of internal storage and it comes with a price tag of 35,99,000 Indonesian Rupiah (approximately Rs 17,726). it is available in two colour options: Cosmic Green and Skyline Blue.

As per recent reports, the Vivo S1 with a new set of specifications is expected to launch in India soon. However, as per sources familiar with the development told The Mobile Indian that the Vivo S1 is all set to launch in India in the month of August.

The new Vivo S1 comes with 32-megapixel selfie camera with Ultra resolution, while the older Vivo S1 has 24.8-megapixel pop-up selfie camera. On the rear, the new version has a triple camera setup with a combination of 16MP primary Sony IMX499 sensor, an 8-megapixel lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The original Vivo S1 featured a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/1.78 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens.

The recently-launched Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch Always-On display that supports full (1080×2340) with a waterdrop notch design and comes equipped with screen touch ID. On the other hand, the Chinese version of Vivo S1 features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and comes with the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The S1 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90 per cent and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

The New S1 smartphone comes powered by latest Octa-core 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio P65 and it is backed up by a 4500mAh battery with dual-engine fast charging support, while the older version comes equipped with by MediaTek Helio P70 processor and is backed by a 3940mAh battery with dual-engine fast charging support. The latest Vivo S1 runs on Funtouch OS 9.0, which is based on 9.0 Pie. In terms of connectivity, the device supports VoLTE, support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0, and 3.5mm audio jack. The new VivoS1 measures 159.53×75.23×8.13mm and weigh 179 gram.
