After InFocus, another US-based smartphone brand, BLU has entered the Indian market. The company announced its entry into the Indian market today with two Windows based smartphones – Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE, which are priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively. The smartphones are based on Windows 8.1 operaitng system and are available from Amazon, Snapdeal as well as Microsoft’s retail stores across India.
The BLU Win HD LTE features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS OGS display offering 294 ppi pixel density. It comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For Selfies, it comes with a 2 megapixel front camera. It packs a 2,500 mAh battery. Connectivity wise, it supports 2G, 3G 4G/ LTE, Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB, FM Radio and GPS. The dimensions of the phone is 145 x 72 x 8.2 mm. It’s available in white, yellow, grey and orange colours.
The BLU Win JR LTE sports a 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) resolution, thus offering 218 ppi pixel density. It too has a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. There is a 2000 mAh battery in this phone which supports 4G as well. The smartphone also offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB, FM Radio and GPS. The phone has a dimension of 133 x 67.5 x 9.5 mm and is available in white, yellow, grey, orange and pink colours.
Both of the smartphones are powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core Processor and 1GB of RAM. Both the phones come with 8GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB through a micro SD card. The dual SIM phones run on Windows Phone 8.1 and will receive the Windows 10 update when it’s made available, assured the company. For graphics, both have Adreno 306 GPU.
