A relatively, unknown player in The Indian smartphone space, UMI is planning to launch a new smartphone, UMIDIGI Z Pro, at Mobile World Congress on 1st March.The company has recently changed the brand name from UMI to UMIDIGI and the UMIDIGI Z PRO is the first phone under the UMIDIGI name. The UMIDIGI Z Pro is the successor of the UMI Z and it will carry a price tag of $299,99.
The UMIDIGI Z Pro features aluminium alloy unibody and a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display. It is powered by 2.6 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X27 processor which is paired with 4GB of RAM and Mali-T880 GPU. The handset runs on Android 6.0 operating system which will be later updated to 7.0 Nougat update, the company says in the press release.
It has 32 GB of internal storage which is further expandable up-to 256 GB via a microSD card. On the camera front, it has a dual camera setup of 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with Sony’s IMX258 sensor and dual LED flash. For selfies, it offers a 13-megapixel front camera. You can focus the image after shooting the picture using the re-focusing function. It is possible to shoot real and pure black and white photos of DSLR quality, to have DSLR-level Bokeh effect, optical 2x zoom (3x digital), to shoot 3D photos and many other features. All these features will be unveiled shown live at MWC. The handset has a 3780 mAh battery which claims to offer 13-15 days of standby time.
Besides, UMIDIGI Z Pro offers 4G LTE support, dual-SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS. The fingerprint sensor is placed below the camera sensor on the back panel of thesmartphone. The handset measures 143.5 x 72 x 8.4 mm and weighs 120 grams. Sensors include- accelerometer, L sensor, G sensor, Gyroscope, Hall and proximity sensor. UMIDIGI Z Pro will be available in Prime Black colour variant.
