Android based Transformer Prime tablet will soon get some awesome features soon, its maker, Asus has announced.
The Taiwanese company said this on its official Facebook page but did not provide any detail about the upgrade. In the absence of information it would be wrong to say what all could be included in the next upgrade but still some of the known bug fixes pertaining to issues such as battery and WiFi problems are expected to be resolved in this upgrade.
The time for the release of the upgrade is yet to be announced but it is expected to be made available to global users by the end of April as Google is also expected to release their next in line operating system Jelly bean aka Android 5.0 around that same time.
Asus had released the Transformer Prime tablet in India back on March 1 for Rs 49,999. But before the tablet was launched, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the tablet was made available to the users here as well. The Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet comes with a 10.1 inch super IPS capacitive touch screen with 10 finger multi touch support.
The tablet comes with a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor and 1 GB of RAM for a smoother function. There is a 1.2 Megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel back camera with flash on the tablet. Besides, it has WiFi, HDMI port, micro SD card reader, and audio jack.
For better gaming experience, Asus has provided G-Sensor, Light Sensor and Gyroscope as well. The unique proposition of this tablet is the docking pad it comes with. The docking pad enables users to use the tablet as a laptop and multiplying Transformer Prime’s usability. The dock also has an internal battery and hence when joined with the tablet, extends the battery life of the later to 18 hours.
