Top Twitter apps for Android

Here are some popular Twitter applications for Android devices which allow users to stay connected with their friends all the time.

When the operating system was launched, there were not many Twitter apps. And the apps which were available initially fell far short of users’ experience.

The situation has changed since then.

For starters, Android is the number 1 operating system in the world today, while Twitter is one of the most preferred social networking site with billions of users around the world including celebrities.

Here are some Android Twitter apps which allow users to stay connected with their friends all the time.

Twidroyd, as the name suggests, is a Twitter application for Android devices. It has both free and paid version. Twidroyd can be used on all Android devices running on version 1.5 and higher. All the standard features expected in a Twitter client are there. It comes with a nice user interface and smooth scrolling as well.

TweetCaster, another such application, has a cool nice blue user interface. The important Twitter tabs are placed on the top, so navigation won’t be much of a problem in its case. It has a popular functionality called ‘Zip It’, in which annoying Twitter messages can be stopped without even unfollowing the other users. Users can also post their messages to both Twitter and Facebook, which is great if the users are equally active on both.

Seesmic is another popular Twitter client for Android. Apart from the Twitter feed it features, users post their Twitter and Facebook messages with just one click. Those who are there on Google Buzz can also do so using this application.

The TweetDeck app, however, is perceived to be more suitable for other operating systems. TweetDeck has a nice user interface, which is also modern at the same time. The background is dark with light text at the top. It has a popular desktop client as well, which means users will never be far from it, whatever device they are using.
