Samsung is expected to launch its latest Tizen based phone – Samsung Z2 along with Galaxy Note 7, in India tomorrow i.e August 11. Now ahead of the launch, alleged spec list of the phone has surfaced online.
As per the spec sheet, published on SamMobile, Samsung Z2 has a 3.97-inch LCD display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.5 GHz processor. The phone has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel rear camera and VGA front camera. In addition, it is powered by a 1,500 mAh battery and runs on Tizen v2.4 operating system.
The Samsung Z2 has LTE, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. It will also come with some accessories in the box, like a 5V 0.7A charger and headset, the report added.
As per the report, Samsung Z2 will be available in the countries including Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkey, South Africa, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. It is expected to be launched at a price tag of Rs 4,499.
Samsung Z2 is the fourth Samsung Tizen smartphone after Samsung Z, Samsung Z1 and Samsung Z3. Based on Linux, the Tizen has the backing of many organisations, especially Samsung and Intel, who want to create an alternate open operating system like the Android.
