Samsung had launched launched its first Tizen operating system based smartphone in India, Samsung Z1, for Rs 5,700 last year in January. Later in October, Samsung launched its second Tizen smartphone, the Z3, for Rs 8,490. Now Samsung reportedly is working on another Tizen based smartphone, called Samsung Z1 (2016).
According to Sanmobile, the company is working on an upgrade to its first Tizen phone, the Z1 with model number SM-Z150.
The Samsung Z1 (2016) is said to feature an AMOLED Display similar to that of the Samsung Z3 and other recent budget phones by Samsung. Apart from this, no other details of the new device are currently known, including its availability and its price.
To recall, The Samsung Tizen Z1 offers a 4 inch touchscreen with 480×800 pixels Resolution and comes with a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. It has 4 GB of internal memory, 768 MB RAM, and an expandable storage slot that can accommodate a micro SD card of up to 64 GB.
The Tizen Z1 of Samsung measures 120.4×63.2×9.7 mm and weighs 112 grams. It has a 1500 mAh battery and a 3.1 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. Besides, this dual SIM smartphone offers 3G, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.1.
