A year after marking its re-entry to the Indian market, French consumer brand Thomson has now ventured into the premium TV market with the launch of four new Android TVs. The new TVs will come in 43-inch, 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes and will be available for a starting price of Rs 29,999 on Flipkart for the base 43-inch model.
The 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch Thomson Android TVs will be available on Flipkart for Rs 34,999, Rs 38,999 and Rs 59,999 respectively.
This is the first time Thomson has launched a high-end TV and the company has also claimed that it’s the only brand to fully manufacture all its Android TV lineup in India to honour the commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The new Thomson TVs are powered by a quad-core A53 CPU with Mali-T860 graphics, 2.5GB of RAM and 16GB storage.
The new Thomson Android TVs run on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with an Android remote that has shortcuts for Google Assistant, Google Play and Netflix. The company claims that users will be able to download and browse content from across 5,000 apps and games that will be available for the Thomson TVs.
All four Thomson TVs come with 4KHDR 10 displays with support for Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround. Additional features include Bluetooth connectivity, east screen sharing through Chromecast built-in and Voice commands through Google Assistant.
