It seems Xiaomi India has a curse that creates one problem or the other for the company during its launch events in India.

Last month, during Xiaomi Max’s launch, it was the fans and today it was the technology that created problems for Xiaomi.

Today, Xiaomi was live telecasting the Redmi 3S’ launch event. Xiaomi’s Hugo Barra was describing the features of Redmi 3S in the webcast. It was all well for half an hour or so before the technical glitch appeared and the live telecast went out.

For a moment, I thought there were some issues with my internet connection. But soon came the confirmation from Xiaomi.

“Mi fans, there’s a technical glitch. The live stream with @RedmiIndia will resume shortly! #Redmi3S #MiLaunch,” Xiaomi tweeted to calm nerves of thousands of people who were watching the webcast.

Later Xiaomi had to stop the live stream following some major glitches. Xiaomi said, “Apologies to all Mi fans. We have encountered a major technical glitch and we have no option but to stop the live stream.”

Last month, during Xiaomi Mi Max’s launch, a group of disgruntled fans created a ruckuou at the launch event and chanted, “Xiaomi Hai Hai, Hugo Barra Hai Hai”. A red faced Xiaomi had to call the police to maintain peace.

Thankfully, Xiaomi is holding an offline event in New Delhi where it will showcase its Redmi 3S to technology journalists. So stay tuned, we will come up with more information about Redmi 3S in a while.
