Tata Docomo, the telecom brand of Tata Teleservices, has announced the launch of a Rs 99 plan for its prepaid customers. The plan offers 1.4GB of daily data and comes with a validity of 28 days.
As per a report of TelecomTalks, the plan is valid across the country for Tata Docomo prepaid users who’re still using the network in Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) with Airtel. The operator is offering a total of 39.2GB for 28 days with 1.4GB per day. However, the plan does not come with calling and SMS benefits.
Further, the report says that the plan is not intended for commercial use and data roaming facility is applicable only on Tata Teleservices own sites. For other networks, customers will be charged as per the base tariff plan. Post the consumption of 1.4GB data for a particular day, users will be charged 10 paise per MB.
Tata Docomo Rs 99 plan competes with the BSNL Data Tsunami Rs 98 pack which offers 1.5GB of data on a daily basis. However, BSNL pack comes with a validity of 26 days. Like Tata Docomo, BSNL pack also does not offer any voice calling or SMS benefits.
In comparison, there are other operators also like Reliance Jio and Airtel which have plans under Rs 100 but they come with voice calling and SMS benefits. Jio has a plan priced at Rs 98, offering unlimited calls, 300 SMS, 28 days validity, and 2GB 4G data. On the other hand, Airtel Rs 99 plan offers 2GB data for 28 days, and comes with unlimited local and national calls, along with 100 SMS per day.
