Swipe Telecom has launched a large screen phablet, Halo Fone 6.5, with 3G support. The Halo Fone sports a 6.5-inch display and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version. Swipe Telecom has priced the Halo Fone at Rs 6,999 and made it available exclusively on Flipkart.
Swipe Telecom’s new Halo Fone weighs 235 grams. The Halo Fone features a 6.5-inch LCD made using the One-Glass Solution (OGS) capacitive touchscreen display. It supports a resolution of 800×480 pixels and so the resultant visual may not be as crisp as other large screen phablets.
Powered by a dual-core 1.3 Ghz mobile processor, the Halo Fone packs only 512 MB RAM which might be a worry for folks who love loading apps on the devices.
Halo Fone supports Dual-SIM configuration and voice calling with up to 3G Network support on one SIM module. By default, the Halo Fone runs the Android 4.2 operating system. At the rear, it has a 2 megapixel modest camera while in its front lies a 0.3 megapixel camera for video calling. Packing 4 GB on-board storage, the Halo Fone offers Memory card slot to expand the storage with up to 32 GB microSD card.
Other features of the Halo Fone include WiFi, Bluetooth, FM, Micro USB Port, GPS support and standard Audio jack. Swipe Telecom’s Halo Fone will have to compete with BSNL’s Penta Smart PS650 offering similar set of features at slightly higher price at Rs 7999.
