California based Android device manufacturer Swipe Telecom today announced the launch of its 4.7 inch Android smartphone, Swipe 9X, in India. The Swipe 9X comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system along with an unconventional display of 4.7 inches featuring 3G connectivity and a 2 Megapixel front facing camera.
The Dual-SIM smartphone comes with GSM connectivity on both the SIMs. Its 4.7 inch capacitive touch based display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution. The Swipe 9X runs on runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by 1 GHz Dual Core Processor from Mediatek. It comes with 4 GB of internal storage and 512 MB RAM. Also it has 32 GB of expandable memory slot.
At the back of the Swipe 9X there is an 8 megapixel Autofocus camera supplemented with a LED flash for illumination in low light conditions. At the front of the smartphone there is a 2 megapixel camera which is better than most devices available in the market.
The device has a 2000 mAh battery pack that is capable of powering it for more than 5 hours of talktime and longer standby times as well. Along with that there are ambient light as well as proximity Sensors embedded on the device for better control and power savings through the display.
