Suzuki will unveil a revamped version of its multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Ertiga on this April 19 at the Indonesian motor show in Jakarta, as per reports.
As per Autocar India, the new version of Ertiga will be first launched in Indonesia and then it will be launched in India in August this year.
In Indonesia, the Ertiga facelift will be launched with a 1.5 liter engine which will replace the current 1.4 liter engine, the report said.
The model will be wider and a bit longer than the outgoing car, and thus possibly there would be more interior room and may be a third-row for passengers, added the report.
The revamped Ertiga was spotted in the past, about which The Mobile Indian had reportedearlier too. the new car is expected to be based on HEARTECT platform. Like the current model, it is expected with a 1.4-litre petrol engine that offers of maximum power of 92 bhp and in a 1.3-litre diesel engine that offers 89 bhp of power. Maruti Suzuki is said to be working on a 1.5-litre diesel engine model too.
A new Infotainment system is also expected in the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
The price of the current model starts from Rs 6.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). However, we cannot assume the price point of the new model.
