Spice Mobility today added two more devices – one smartphone and a tablet – to its Stellar range of devices. Out of the two, one is the Dual-SIM based Stellar Virtuoso smartphone while the other one is the 10 inch display bearing Stellar Pad tablet.
Stellar Virtuoso Mi-495 is based on Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, while Stellar Pad Mi-1010 is basesd on Jelly Bean. Stellar Virtuoso Mi-495 is available for Rs 10,499 while Stellar Pad Mi-1010 is available for Rs 12,999.
Dilip Modi, co-founder, Spice Group said, “We believe the potential demand of fully-loaded 3G smartphones at an aggressive price point will now fuel the aspirations of the evolved customers. Since demand of data services ‘on-the-go’ is rising faster than ever, we see an opportunity to stamp our dominance in this segment.”
Stellar Virtuoso Mi-495 is, as claimed by the company, the slimmest smartphone by any Indian brand with a 9.44 mm thin body and is powered by a 1.0 GHz Dual Core processor. It has a 4.5 inch qHD screen and has 4 GB internal memory.
Stellar Virtuoso has an 8.0 megapixel auto focus rear camera with flash and a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera. It has a 1700 mAh battery. Virtuoso comes along with a free leather cover and a screen guard, worth Rs 1,000.
On the other hand, Spice Stellar Pad Mi-1010 is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor with Quadcore GPU. Stellar Pad is the first full HD tablet with IPS display (wide angle viewing) by any Indian brand.
A 7600 mAh Lithium ion polymer battery in the device promises video playing time of six hours and a standby of 15 days. It has massive 16 GB of internal memory. In the box one will get a leather cover worth Rs 2,000 and a USB ‘on-the-go’ cable.
