Sony has started selling its flagship Android smartphone Xperia Z in 60 countries across the world. Though Sony has not mentioned the names of the countries, India seems to be not on the list as the phone is still not available in the country.
“The award-winning, flagship Xperia Z and its market variant Xperia ZL – unveiled at CES in January – are now on sale worldwide”, company said in a statement.
However, on Sony India’s website, the phone is listed as ‘coming soon’ which means that Sony is set to launch the phone very soon in the country. Also, though there is no information about its price yet, the Sony Xperia Z is likely to cost as HTC Butterfly, which is priced at Rs 45,990, as both have similar specification.
The all new Sony Xperia Z has a shatter proof and scratch resistant 5 inch display. This display supports 1080 x 1920 Pixel resolution natively and can handle multitouch for up to ten fingers at the same time. For better clarity and contrast, the company has added Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology to the display. Sony Mobile plans to add a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro family mobile processor inside paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB on board storage.
