Sony has today launched its new phone under Xperia series in India – Sony Xperia X2. The smartphone is priced at Rs 72,990 and it comes only in Liquid Black colour. The Sony Xperia X2 will be available for sale from select offline stores and Sony Centre from August 1.
Sony Xperia XZ2 is the world’s first phone to support 4K HDR movie recording. The smartphone also comes equipped with Google’s development platform “ARCore” for building Augmented Reality (AR) apps for Android mobile devices and Google lens. It features the new Ambient Flow Design housing ‘Dynamic Vibration System’ that analyses audio data. It also has IP68 certification for dust and resistance.
Sony Xperia XZ2 features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. It features an internal storage of 64 GB which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 400GB). The phone also has two front-facing stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround. It features a fingerprint sensor at the back panel.
For the camera, the smartphone features a 19-megapixel rear camera that supports 4K HDR video and Super Slow-Motion capture at 960FPS. For the front, the device features a 5-megapixel with f/2.2 Aperture camera for selfies and video chats. It is also the world’s first smartphone with 4K HDR Movie recording and also offers ISO sensitivity 51200 for photos and ISO 12800 for video.
It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and is backed up by 3180mAh battery with wireless charging capabilities. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers hybrid Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB 3.1 Type-C, 3.5mm Audio Jack and NFC. It has an IP65/68 rating for dust and water resistance. There is no 3.5mm audio jack present on the phone. The device measures 153 x 72 x 11.1 mm and weighs 198grams.
