Sony has announced the launch of its flagship smartphone of this year, the Xperia XZ, for the Indian market. Sony said that the device will be available in India at Rs 49,990 (best price) though it has an MRP of Rs 51,990.
It will be available from October 10 but buyers can prebook it now at all Sony centres, select retail outlets, and on Amazon.in during October 1 to 10. Those who prebook it will get the Smartband Talk –SWR30 worth Rs 8,990 for free. The device will come bundled with Quick Charger UCH12, free subscription of Sony LIV for three months worth Rs 349 and Modern Combat Gameloft credits worth Rs 780.
The Sony Xperia XZ comes in forest blue, mineral black and platinum colours. It has a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Triluminos display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, which is clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The dual SIM variant of Xperia XZ comes with 64GB of internal storage while the single SIM model has 32 GB of ROM. Both the variants have expandable memory slot for up to 256GB micro SD card and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The phone has a 2,900 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology and a fingerprint sensor. It is also dust and water resistant and is IP65/IP68 certified for the same.
Sony Xperia XZ has a 23 megapixel primary camera with 1/2.3″ Exmos RS sensor and f/2.0 lens. It comes with Predictive Hybrid AF and 5-axis stabilization features and can record 4K videos. A 13-megapixel secondary camera is in the phone for selfies and video chats which comes with 1/3″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens, 1080p video recording. The smartphone supports 4G LTE network and comes will GPS/GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 ac, a USB Type C port and Bluetooth 4.2. The Sony Xperia XZ measures 146 x 72 x 8.1 mm and weighs 161 grams.
