Sony has finally taken the wrap off from its latest models, the Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 smartphones at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas. Pricing details of the Xperia smartphones have not been revealed yet.
Both the Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra smartphones will be shipped starting from February while the Xperia L2 will be available from January itself. Xperia XA2 will be available in Silver, Black, Blue, and Pink colour options while the XA2 Ultra will come in Silver, Black, Blue, and Gold colours. The Sony Xperia L2 will be coming in black, gold, and pink colours.
On the specifications front, the Sony Xperia XA2 features a 5.2-inch display, while the Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with a 6.0-inch screen with both sporting same Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). The Xperia XA2 has come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the Xperia XA2 Ultra will be backed by a 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
Both the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra are powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Processor clocked at 2.2GHz with Adreno 308 GPU. On the camera front, both the smartphones will bear the same rear camera of 23-megapixel with 4K recording and can capture 120 FPS slow-motion clips. For the front, the Xperia XA2 Ultra comes loaded with 16-megapixel dual seflie cameras, which are capable of recording 4K videos. The Xperia XA2 will come with an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. Both the smartphones run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.
On the connectivity front, both of them features 4G LTE with the Cat13/12 band, Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port and 3.5 mm Headphone jack. Sony Xperia XA2 comes with 3300 mAh battery while the Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with 3580 mAh battery. The dimensions are 142 x 70 x 9.7 mm and weigh 178 grams of Xperia XA2. For Xperia XA2 Ultra, the dimensions are 163 x 80 x 9.5 mm and the weight is 210 grams.
Coming to the Sony Xperia L2, it will be a budget-centric smartphone and has slightly lower specs than the two XA devices. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone is powered by 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor with Mali T720-MP2 GPU. The phone is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
